Roxy Ballroom Manchester Review – Deansgate Games Bar Brings the Red Cup Party Vibes

August 15, 2017 Daniel Kelly Leave a Comment

Outside the Roxy Ball Room

If you’re looking for something a little different for your next night-out, after-work drinks or corporate bash then you won’t go far wrong giving Manchester’s latest Game Bar a go.

Situated next to La Tasca Deansgate, the doorway to the Roxy Ball Room gives little away. Once inside, it’s hard not to be taken aback by the size of the place – with two floors dedicated to pool, ping-pong and even beer pong. It’s simply one of the largest bar venues in Manchester, with room for up to 360 people. First impressions really can be deceptive.

On the first floor, you’ll find the mine pool room (American 8 Ball), with enough tables to keep everyone happy.

For those who want to give Ping-Pong a go, the main area is opposite the bar, with four large tables available. There’s even a tournament room available for hire for those who want to take things a little more seriously, decked out with a fab Connery mural.

Private Ping Pong Room

Other highlights are the UV Ping Pong room, featuring Neon graffiti artworks of Joy Divison’s Ian Curtis and the Stone Roses Ian Brown – that really comes into its own in the evening.

There’s also plenty of Beer Pong tables dotted around the venue, with the cups and balls free when you buy 4 beers – what a bargain!

Away from the pool and ping-pong, Roxy’s also serves a menu of crowd pleasers of pizzas burgers and sharing platters perfect for large groups & after-work socials. My choice of the food options would be the Quinoa Burger, served with a generous portion of Guacamole and cracked black pepper chips. A snip at £8.90

Pizza Time at Roxy Ball Room

If you’re looking for drinks options they’ve also got you covered, with a full bar serving drinks till late and some great deals including 2 Cocktails for £12 up to 7 pm. My choice would be the Long-Island Iced Tea.
