On the 28th & 29th October, 13 venues went head to head to be crowned Manchester’s best brunch. We are happy to announce that Eat and Two Veg Favourite Fress, which only opened in July, beat the likes of Federal, Alberts Chop House and West Corner for the sought after title.
Venues around the city were invited to sign up to the Battle of the Brunch event, an idea from Manchester social media agency Engage Hub. Customers brunching at the venues involved over the weekend were asked to score their brunch based on several factors including food, drinks, service and overall experience. Plenty of restaurants from across Manchester competed to win, including established players such as Gorilla, Zouk and Walrus along with new players such as West Corner and eventual winners Fress Restaurant.
The best part is that everyone who voted was in with a chance to win up to £1000!
Votes were counted and an average score applied to each venue – Fress Manchester, with a combination of the most votes collected and an average score of 4.9 were an outright winner! “As a new, small independent business this absolutely means the world to us to be voted Manchester’s best brunch – by the people of Manchester!” – Barry Chui, Owner of Fress.
Ray Sherlock, Director of Engage Hub commented ‘Battle of the Brunch was a great success – there was a real buzz surrounding brunch throughout Manchester not only across the social channels but in the venues themselves. We were amazed by the number of people that voted and could not be happier with the winner who truly deserved to take the crown of best brunch’
