Wow! What a year 2017 has been for Manchester Foodies. With more new restaurants opening that anyone can keep up with, along with many old favourites upping their game, its been a great year for everyone who enjoys eating out.
To celebrate, I’ve had a look at the traffic stats for 2017 to find the most popular articles on the site this year. As chosen by you! Our Top 10 is below:

4. The opening of Mackie Mayor
If you enjoy Eating out in MCR it will have been hard to avoid the opening of Mackie Mayor. Situated in the old Swan Street market, the venue has been fully restored to its former glory. Inside you will find a full range of up-market food and drinks stalls. A great spot for a drink or bite to eat, if a little pricey.
3. V Rev Review
Prooving that Vegan doesn’t have to mean healthy all the time, V Rev serves up gourmet junk food that competes with the best Manchester has to offer.
2. The Northern Type Eccles
One for fans of craft beer, the Northern Type Eccles is going from strength to strength with beer fans travelling from around the North West to sample the best of the regions ales and beer.
1. Common Ground Altrincham
Coming in at number 1 is Common Ground, an independent coffee shop in Altrincham started by three Olympics. Whilst I’m surprised to see this at number 1, this little coffee shop has been in the top 5 articles read on the site since the summer. Maybe we should write about coffee shops more often 🙂
Thank you to everyone who has visited the site in 2017 and here’s to a great 2018!
