With a new bar or restaurant opening almost daily in Manchester, it’s easy for places to fall on hard times. Last week’s hyped restaurant can become old news fast in this town. With some high profile closures already this year (including Good Food star Manchester) there’s never been a harder time to run a successful restaurant in Manchester.
So when I found out that The Rabbit was set to close I knew I had to try it before it was too late. I was not disappointed.
The Rabbit Restaurant
The restaurant occupies the top two floors of the Urbis building with an entrance that is easy to miss. You could be forgiven for never knowing this place existed. However, for those who make the journey up the lift, the views are spectacular.
The Rabbit went through a rebrand in April this year (changing its name from The Rabbit in the Moon). With a new chef at the helm and a new menu, it was hoped
It would be at this point that I would wax lyrical about the different courses and how you must go but I won’t. The last service is tonight after which it will be used as an events space.
Shame, as this is the best vegetarian tasting menu I’ve had in Manchester. I wanted to share these photos before it was too late.
I would like to personally thank all the staff on the night for putting on such a great night and wish them all the best in the future.
