Bottomless Brunch @ Dog Bowl Manchester

Dog Bowl Bottomless Brunch

Looking for a Bottomless Brunch with a difference? We check out the new Vegan options at Dog Bowl. Here’s what we found….

Never too early to drink Prosecco? Love to mix bowling, brunch and beers into your weekend? The Dog Bowl Bottomless Brunch could be the ideal choice!

Over the last few years, the bottomless brunch trend has stampeded its way through Manchester with places like The Refinery, Cottonopolis and The Bay Horse Tavern doing popular take on boozey brunching.

However, few places in town offer a vegan option never mind a full menu to choose from. To fix this, the Dog Bowl has just launched a full vegan bottomless brunch menu. We went down last week to check it out – and we liked what we found!

Note: the bottomless brunch (along with the full standard menu) is also available at Black Dog Ballroom on Church Street NQ

Dog Bowl Bottomless Brunch – how does it work?

Bottomless brunch at the Dog Bowl is served between 11am-4pm on both Saturdays and Sundays. Priced at a very reasonable £25 per head, it includes a brunch dish of your choice along with a selection of free-flowing Prosecco, Bloody Marys, Mimosas, House Red or White Wine, Cans of Lager or Pale Ale & selection of hot and cold soft drinks. You can have bottomless drinks for a total of 2 hours – the only rule they have is that you have to have finished your previous drink before ordering another round. All very easy to follow.

What are the drinks options like?

One of the great things about the Bottomless Brunch deal at Dog Bowl is the wide selection of drinks. Often at a Bottomless Brunch, you are stuck drinking the same drink for the duration. Dog Bowl not only has a wide selection of options but also allows you to switch to a different drink each other. No more having to order the same thing over and over! I can drink to that!

Service throughout our time at the Dog Bowl was excellent with no issues getting drinks service at any point.

They also have a good selection of coffees, teas & soft drinks if anyone in your group isn’t drinking. ideal for the designated driver of the group.

What was the food like?

Along with your bottomless drinks, you’ll get to choose an item from the brunch menu. Sadly, the food isn’t bottomless :-(.

I ordered the Vegan Full English – the most sensible option considering we were drinking at midday :-). The Vegan Full English included Scrambled Tofu, which was both tasty and healthy. I would order it again!

Lizzie ordered the Chkn and Waffles, a vegan take on the American Classic. Now, I know vegan bacon is not universally loved, but I rather enjoyed what was served here and worked with the sweetness of the siracha maple syrup.

Of the two dishes, I’d recommend the Chkn and Waffles. But it’s close!

Anything else to add?

  • If you fancy bowling after your brunch (good luck with your balance after those mimosas!) best to book in either before you arrive or as soon as you get there. This place can get busy!
  • The Dog Bowl has one of the best happy hours in town – running from 4 pm till 8 pm Monday to Friday. It includes:
    • £3 for Corona, Asahi or Camden Pale
    • £2.50 for Jagerbomb (whey!)
    • £10 for a Bottle of wine
    • £4 selected cocktails
