Stretford Foodhall is now open for business! Is it worth a visit?
Have you ever wanted your supermarket to be a little bit.. more like a bar? Are you tired of not being able to get tasty street food from your local corner shop? Are you trying to cut down on your plastic waste? Then Stretford Foodhall is the place for you!
Stretford Foodhall combines your supermarket shop, craft bar venue, coffee shop, florist and street food joint all into one. Such a mix shouldn’t work but it does!
Soft launching a few weeks back, Stretford Foodhall is yet another example there’s more to Manchester than the City center. Launched by the owners of Ancoats General store, they’ve taken everything they’ve learned from that venture and brought it to Stretford.
On the street food front, the aim is to rotate what’s on at any given time. Currently, it’s Blue Caribou Canteen from Manchester’s Arndale market that are getting rave reviews.
As well as the food and drink, Stretford Foodhall is offering a great selection of locally produced goods as your usual necessities in the groceries section provided by the Co-op
There’s also a great plastic-free section for everyday items such as cereals and dry pasta. Perfect for those wanting to cut down their plastic footprint.
I wasn’t able to stay long when I popped in but will be back soon!
