Capocci’s Manchester on Deliveroo – Italian Street Food Review

Capocci's Manchester Take Out Review Deliveroo

Scrolling through Deliveroo and not sure what to order? Missing your Pizza fix? Capocci’s have the answer, serving up authentic Italian Street Food to your door. We checked them out to see if they should be your next take-out treat!

About Capocci’s

Capocci’s started late last year as a pop-up restaurant in Media City. Focusing on authentic Italian Street Food, Capocci’s was a huge hit with foodies and families alike and was aiming to go from strength to strength in 2020. I think we all know what happened next….

Fortunately, Capocci’s are fighting back and are now on Deliveroo, striving to bring the same great Italian food straight to your door! If you’re like us and miss your local Italian restaurant, Capocci’s are the perfect tonic.

For our mid-week treat we ordered two pizzas and a tub of handmade gelato. We couldn’t wait!

The food has arrived

How was the food and service from Capocci’s?

Delivery by Deliveroo was on-time, the pizzas were pipping hot and the ice cream was still ice-cold on arrival – not bad considering it was the hottest day of the year so far! Things were off to a great start.

The first pizza we tried was the Margherita Classico, their take on the Italian Classic. Big in flavour, cooked to perfection and with a slight kick from the passata sauce that I loved, this is the best pizza I’ve had for a long while and certainly the best during lockdown. For those missing their pizza fix, I think we have found your next take-out treat.

Margherita Classico

We also had the funghi pizza to try too, which was another winner. This was Lizzie’s favourite, with the flavour from the mushrooms really popping.

Funghi Pizza

Another highlight was the gelato. The hand made, freshly produced gelato was a real treat with a creamy, cool flavour on such a warm day. You’ll love it even more than your kids.

Ice Cream

To get it to you in the right condition, the gelato is stored in a thermo-cooled container to keep it cold until after it has arrived and you’ve eaten your pizza. I was a little dubious at first but it really did work!

How much was the food?

Prices at Capocci are very reasonable for such top quality food, with pizzas from £7.95 and the gelato tubs coming in at £5.

If you are looking to try Capocci’s out this week they have a few great offers that I can heartily recommend. You can get the Margherita Classico, Gelato and Drinks for just £11.95 – an absolute bargain! For those a little hungrier, you can order the Garlic Bread, Margherita Classico and Gelato Deal for £15.95.

We can’t wait to try Capocci’s restaurant when it does reopen, but until then will be ordering again very soon. Be sure to check them out as soon as you can!
